Social Ministries

The contemporary Jesuit mission is the service of faith and the promotion in society of “that justice of the Gospel which is the embodiment of God’s love and saving mercy.

Social Ministries encompass a wide variety of initiatives undertaken by individual Jesuits, apostolates and the Missouri Province. Together we promote "that justice of the Gospel" through local, regional and national efforts.  We serve as a catalyst for "God’s love and saving mercy" through our schools, parishes, retreat houses, and volunteer programs. Grounded in our experience of ministry we advocate for the implementation of just structures and social policies ad majorem dei gloriam.
