New Principals Announced

Mr. Kevin Lee, President of Loyola Academy in St. Louis has named Mr. Eric Clark as the next Principal of Loyola Academy. Mr. Clark is a veteran Jesuit educator, having been a member of the faculty at St. Louis University High School since 1992, serving as Psychology teacher, student council moderator and for the last 13 years as Dean of Students. Mr. Clark is a 1983 SLUH graduate. He received his undergraduate degree from Truman State University; a master’s degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis; and a master’s degree in educational administration from Saint Louis University.
Mr. David Laughlin, President of St. Louis University High School, has named Dr. John J. Moran as the school’s next principal. Since 1994, Dr. Moran has served in several roles at St. John’s Preparatory School in Danvers, Massachusetts. St. John’s Preparatory School is a Catholic Xaverian Brothers school where Dr. Moran has served as an English teacher, the Campus Ministry Director, the Dean of Students and is currently the Assistant Principal for Academics. He received his undergraduate degree from Fordham University; master’s degree from Middlebury College in Vermont; and his doctorate in educational administration at Boston College.
Fr. Phil Steele, S.J., President of Regis Jesuit High School in Denver has named Mr. James M. Gmelich as the next principal of the Boys Division of Regis Jesuit High School. Mr. Gmelich is a veteran Jesuit educator, having served at Brophy Prep in Phoenix since 1992 as teacher (social studies and science), coach (football and volleyball), Dean of Students (1998-2007), and Academic Assistant Principal (2007-2008). He is a 1987 graduate of Brophy Prep. He received his undergraduate degree from Loyola-Marymount University and his master’s degree in education from the University of Northern Arizona.
